A hidden gem 🏰 Our suite at Chateau Laroche, Ploquin was simply magnificent. It was worth upgrading to the suite, which was incredibly spacious and beautifully decorated. the restoration of the chateau is top, notch, reminiscent of the grandeur of the nearby kings' bedrooms. the staff, with their friendly and family, like approach, added to the overall charm of this place. the food at the restaurant was delicious, and the bar and other facilities added to the experience. We were truly enchanted by the nature, garden, and rich history of this castle.
Almost perfect 👑 the room prices are a bit on the expensive side compared to similar properties nearby.

During our Christmas stay, we were impressed by the beautiful surroundings of the hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly, suggesting places to visit and providing exceptional service. We particularly enjoyed the scenic drives and visits to small villages away from the usual tourist areas that were recommended to us. The property itself was absolutely stunning, with the buildings restored in a high-quality manner. The quality of the bathroom and the comfortable bed were notable features. the nature, history, and the hotel's restaurant made our stay a memorable experience.
One aspect that could be improved is the disengaged and distant behavior of some staff members. While most of them were friendly, there were a few instances where we felt the receptionist was not making an effort to make us feel comfortable or create a welcoming atmosphere.

We stumbled upon this gorgeous gem in a tranquil agricultural area while exploring the Loire Valley. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast at a local restaurant and then savored a delectable dinner in the restaurant for sure. the room was tastefully decorated with elegant furnishings and the bathroom was modern with all necessary amenities. the staff was friendly and the service was excellent. We also appreciated the beautiful garden and pool.
The wine list was quite limited.

The ambiance was great and perfect for a New Year's celebration. The surroundings were beautiful and the staff at the hotel were super friendly. They were able to accommodate our requests throughout our stay. The food was delicious and of great quality. The location was perfect for us because we preferred a quiet and secluded area but still not too far from town.
The internet connection wasn't secure and only available in the lobby. This was a bit inconvenient as we expected secure wifi in the bedroom. Also, the pool was quite cold which was disappointing.

Absolutely loved the pool and the beautiful grounds surrounding it. the perfect place to relax and soak up the sunshine. the staff were always friendly and accommodating, going out of their way to offer us free transport to a nearby restaurant when the on-site restaurant was unfortunately out of service.
the bar was closed during our visit, which was a bit of a bummer as we were looking forward to trying some of the local wines.
